Outdoor projects rarely fit neatly into one trade. A new patio may need grading and a drainage fix, a deck may need new steps and a landing, and a sloped yard may need excavation before anything else can happen. Because we do the site work and the finished construction, you deal with one contractor and one schedule instead of coordinating several.
Matt Minor has run Minor Adjustments LLC since 2007, and the company name reflects the work: practical adjustments and improvements that make a home work better, from small repairs to larger projects.
Grading, excavation and drainage
Water that flows toward the house, soggy low spots and eroding slopes are common problems on Southern Maryland lots. We regrade yards so water moves away from foundations, excavate for patios, walls and additions, install drainage stone and pipe, and prepare sites for new construction.
Good grading protects your foundation, keeps basements drier and gives hardscaping and landscaping a stable starting point.
Steps, walkways and home improvements
We build steps and stoops in pavers, stone and composite, repair and rebuild entry steps, and handle a range of exterior and interior home improvements. If you are not sure whether your project is a fit, call and describe it; if it is not something we do, we will tell you.

Are you a licensed contractor?
Yes. Minor Adjustments LLC is a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor, owned by Matt Minor and in business since 2007.
Can you fix water pooling near my foundation?
Often, yes. Regrading the soil to slope away from the house, extending downspouts and adding drainage stone or pipe are common fixes. We assess the cause on site.
Do you do excavation for other contractors' projects?
Call us to discuss. We regularly excavate and prepare sites for our own patios, walls and decks, and can talk through other site-prep needs.
Do you build front steps?
Yes. We build and rebuild front steps, stoops and landings in pavers, stone or composite.
